YWCA Muskoka Board of Directors

YWCA Muskoka is seeking qualified individuals to fill one vacancy on its Board of Directors: the TREASURER position is an executive office position and is a renewable one year term. YWCA Muskoka champions positive change for women and girls. The YWCA Board of Directors ensures that the mission is being furthered through responsible leadership, effective planning and sound fiscal management for the organization. Regular Board meetings are held eight times per year (in person or via teleconference), while the Annual General Meeting is held each April. YWCA Muskoka is particularly interested in hearing from individuals who: Are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of the women and girls, and their families, of Muskoka; Have knowledge and experience in finance; Have non-profit board experience; and/or reflect the diversity of Muskoka by way of their physical abilities, ethnicity, cultural and geographic perspective. Major Responsibilities Attendance at Board meetings; Organizational leadership; Financial oversight; Membership on at least one committee of the Board; Development and guidance of YWCA Governance policies; Support and participation in community events; Fundraising and community outreach. Time Commitment is approximately eight hours per month.
